Child Therapy (6 & Under)
The early years are full of big emotions, rapid development, and new challenges for both children and parents. At Young Sprouts Therapy, we specialize in child therapy for ages 6 & under, using a combination of Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Theraplay to support emotional, social, and behavioral growth. Our approach is child-centered, using creative, play-based methods to help children:
- Regulate big emotions like anxiety, frustration, or sadness
- Improve social skills and peer interactions
- Develop confidence and self-expression
- Work through life transitions (new sibling, school adjustment, separation, etc.)

Child Therapy (7-11)
At Young Sprouts Therapy, our Child Therapy (7-11) sessions are designed to support kids as they navigate emotions, social interactions, and behavioral challenges. We use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy to help children develop self-esteem, emotional regulation, and coping skills in a way that feels natural and engaging.
What to Expect:
- Parent Intake Session: Before starting therapy, we meet with parents to understand your child's needs, history, and goals. This helps us tailor the sessions for the best results.
- Therapy Sessions with Your Child: We create a safe, welcoming space where your child can explore their thoughts and feelings through conversation, creative expression, and interactive activities.
- Ongoing Parent Guidance: We believe therapy is most effective when parents are involved. We'll provide updates, strategies, and tools to help you support your child at home.

Adolescent & Teen Therapy (12-17)
The teenage years can be overwhelming, filled with academic pressure, social challenges, and emotional ups and downs. At Young Sprouts Therapy, we provide a safe and supportive space for teens to work through their struggles, build resilience, and develop the skills they need to thrive.
We use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help teens manage anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, school stress, relationships, trauma, grief, and identity development.

- Parent Intake Session – We start with a session for parents to understand your teen’s needs, challenges, and goals for therapy.
- Individual Therapy Sessions – Your teen will work one-on-one with a therapist in a supportive, judgment-free space, using strategies tailored to their unique personality and needs.
- Parental Support & Check-Ins – While therapy is focused on your teen, we also provide guidance and strategies to help parents support their child's progress outside of sessions.

Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Our pediatric occupational therapists help children and teens develop essential life skills through play-based and evidence-based interventions. We support kids with sensory processing challenges, fine and gross motor delays, self-regulation difficulties, and daily living skills like dressing, eating, and toileting. Our OT services also address concerns such as ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), handwriting struggles, executive functioning, and motor coordination issues. Whether your child needs help with emotional regulation, sensory sensitivities, or independence in daily tasks, we’re here to support their growth and confidence.
